It's a solid device, sure it doesn't come with a specialized OS but it's a great way to learn how to setup Linux or even (ugh) Windows for services, streaming, file sharing and back-ups. The lower price and flexibility is the compromise here - if you need a NAS that will work out of the box, there are plenty of options on the market.
While the Ryzen 5825U option is plenty more powerful than the Intel N150, it doesn't do well at one very specific thing: media transcoding. Depending whether you need that, the N150 may be a better choice despite the lower overall performance given that Intel's Quick Sync really is that good.
