Just paid $12K for a 2009 ICE car with only 80K miles. That is $36K LESS than a modern average car purchased today.

Car is in near mint shape.

So [per the article data] saving $~1700/ 5 years with EV versus ICE?

It would take roughly 21 years for an EV to be cheaper given my example( excluding gas costs.)

If you exclude gas costs then your calculations make no sense. Not to mentioned older car means stuff more likely to break down and higher maintenance costs. Hence why average ownership time of new cars is longer than used.

So you took a used car that's 16 years old and compared it to a new car, brilliant!!
