I'll just find another way to get the system early, I'm not going to give up One of the few joys that I have amidst all of the stress and adult responsibilities that I have to deal with on the daily just because that jerkwad wants to raise prices on everything. Literally nobody is going to sit there and tell me how to spend my money or how to live my life. If my playing video games does not directly affect someones life or their future then people need to back off and mind their own business.

I agree with you. Unfortunately, this is both technically and practically almost impossible. While Nintendo does not directly support the genocide that is correctly occuring in Palestine, many game companies that work with Nintendo do support the IDF (Israeli Defence Force), which has been responsible for murdering so many babies and children. Along with stopping foreign aid / killing international healthcare workers and through starvation by the creation of an open air prison.

Not telling you where to spend your money or to stop playing games. Just providing a counter point argument. :(

This is what happens when you only want to release and crappy version and keep the better version in japan and charge more for it. And it's not tariff because both side charge the same or just a bit off so it's not Trump is Nintendo trying to get cought up in the gaming world. To be honest I'm not even excited about a switch 2.

It's not Nintendo for christ sake. A tariff is a TAX on the consumer. The country IMPORTING the goods (the united staes) pays more. Then passes those prices to the consumer. We warned til blue in the face. And obviously some people still live in the upside-down. Are we great yet?? Or will that be with the markets fully crash? I mean destroying most government programs, then alienating us from all allies, now hogher prices. I just don't feel great yet. Maybe after I am a pile of ash I'll feel great. But yeah, not Nintendo. Simple economics. The switch would have been the expensive 350 or 450 ( i don't remember which) no matter what. However with the help of the Tariff toddler i would take a guess that the switch will be closer to $900 when the tariff dust settles.

I love watching all of you whine because you can't get your widdle video game 😱😱😱😱 The fact is none of you understand what you're talking about. Trump is trying to reverse the welfare state we have become. We owe trillions upon trillions of dollars and big government is so fat from sucking of the federal reserve tit that it's people are the ones who are suffering. These people are literally stealing dollars out of your pocket to pay for things like private jet rides and steak dinners, does anyone care? I do. You don't need every video game as soon as it comes out. How about this? Put down the controller, pick up a couple books written by Thomas Sowell and educate yourselves so you do don't sound like a bunch of entitled cry babies who understand nothing about government, economics, and exactly where we are headed as a country. Man up and actually care about things that matter

Quote from: Trumpistan on April 05, 2025, 00:44:39Love it. And we are only seeing the beginning of this: counter-teriffs incoming, and golden toilet wheeler dealer Trump will have too much of an ego to not double down -> on it goes.

Major investment banks now has recession risk above 50%. Prices about to sore, and American consumers will get it rough. I loooove it! How's your Tesla stock bois?

"B..bbbu.bbbbut Hillary?!" am I right?

Hillary is a murderer, so yes Hillary.

This is what I voted for and could care less about anyone's opinion.  Golden era let's go!!! 🇵🇷🇺🇲👊🏼

Not whining but I'm sorry what? My family immigrated to the states, got full citizenship while living there, then left after several years. Do you wanna know the reason why? Because it wasn't welfare state enough, lmao xD. Left and never came back. The very actual idea that the states is a welfare state is pretty funny.

...
does anyone care? I do.

Are you sure you do? Shouldn't you then also be the first to mention how the US is still sending hundreds of billions in aid & weapons to Israel even though as you said the US is a country of debt ('owe trillions upon trillions'). Why is Trump bombing houthis in Yemen when he was basically saying all along when he was a presidential candidate that he wasn't getting involved in any more wars like the previous presidents did?

The above decisions make little sense to me. I could care less about big or small gov. Or what your beliefs / values are but at least be consistent damnit. Everything this guy does is a flip flop. The only thing I guess he is somewhat consistent in, is his ego. Making fun of or undoing past presidents policies out of spite. Which I do believe is fair game, I just rather he produce results first, then mock then rather the other way around.

Another example of this is in El Salvador. President Trump likes to toot his horn so to speak about how he's tough so tough on drugs. Going on as far as saying Canada and Mexico aren't doing enough to tackle this issue at the borders. Fair enough, I'm not drug expert myself, it maybe true. But could he explain how El Salvador got rid of the most violent drug crimes in history, a place plagued with them for decades in just a span of a few years of president Nayib Bukele's elected term? This place was once internationally considered the most dangerous places to live with one of the highest homicides rate per capita in the world. Is the US even trying? Where is all the money going to? What did Trump do in the first 4 years of his term? A third world country with a decent leader achieved what no US leader could achieve, with way less money.

I could go on about how the tariffs he's placed on his allies make it difficult to keep the cost down of certain medical supplies and medications. Sure, they can be made in US, but is the current medical pharmaceutical complex and private insurance system setup to incentives this? Does he have any plans or policy to tackle this?

What about the housing? What about college debt? What firearms and school shootings?

I just want to know if there's a plan, I'm so confused. It doesn't need to be a left or liberal plan but is there anything?

Why is he using ICE to deport students studying at universities with green card? You legally cannot do that without it going through due process or going through courts with a judge order. He's just straight up kidnapping them from their homes in broad daylight GTA 6 style lmfao. (Sorry I shouldn't laugh, it's not funny)

Why is he using ICE to interrogate protesters that show solidarity with the palestinian cause at uni campuses who have said _nothin_ negative about the USA. Their only crime was that of being critical of Israel. A foreign state which is a parasitical leech stain on the US tax payer money.

You said earlier you worry about people suffering? This guy has elected more billionaires in the government as elected officials than anyone on history. Since when is such a concentration of wealth inequality ever been good for us (no matter the spectrum or team you reside on). How on god's given earth are billionaires gonna be able to relate to the average every day Joe's problem?

It's funny how's he's created a golden visa program for rich immigrants to come and gain citizenship easily while simultaneously deporting the poor and weak.

Even if you elected and voted for Trump. I understand. But why is Elon Musk in such a high position within the government? I can understand why people like Trump but who likes Elon? Who voted for this guy? What has this guy done for this country? Besides be involved in pump & dump crypto schemes, ruin twitter and sell overpriced EVs. The guy employees more foreigner workers and gives our more visas to skilled international professionals who aren't even US born than anyone else. The guy has tons of factories worldwide. Why is Trump keeping a guy like this close to him? Besides sponsoring Trumps election campaign of $277 million I mean

Quote from: Ocean of Stars on April 04, 2025, 18:15:55Well blame those that voted for Trump. Knew these situations would happen

No WISE person is blaming anything
on Trump but instead, it is the opposite (read/watch beyond liberal fake news).

It is looOOong over due for a huge SHOCK in the global markets due to ridiculous overpricing for over 4-years. e.g. PS4 ~ 250/300 at launch - PS5 ~450/900 (with no tariffs applied to these ridiculous hike increases).

That said, these companies still could choose the right choices, though. These tariffs mostly affects corrupted/greedy governments, not so much on global companies.

These companies could still choose the right decision to aid them from Trump's tariff blow to its company's profits/stability but for these governments, though... well, that is why so many foreign diplomats are angry and hating on Trump's tariffs because they tend to lose up into the tens-of-billons of FREE MONEY a year that ALL have been benefiting for MANY YEARS (and none of this extra money go towards its people), not because of any other nonsense that these governments all claims.

"Greed" is the downfall of Capitalism each and everytime.

So America's King invoked Import Sales Taxes across the board on ALL imports with (as of Today April 10th) China getting a whooping %145 on imports from that country.

Forgetting for the moment that a minimum %70 and target %80-90 margin on Wholesale prices is what OEM's demand to achieve.

With wholesale, distribution and retail margins ADDED ON TOP OF THAT to reach the even DISCOUNTED prices Consumers pay you might start to get a picture of the greed involved.

While it could be said that in some cases that some of the supply chains profits are used to cover the costs of tariff however historically the majority of the costs of the tariffs are passed onto the consumer as higher prices.

Granted with the above formula(s) a product that was made in China and is generally offered for sale in the USA for $1200 might land in the US Customs Warehouse for ~$240. The %145 National Import Sales Tax (IE:Tariff) might equate to an extra $348+ added to the retail cost of that $1200 product. (now costing $1548)

Make no mistake that the fluctuation's in the global Stock Markets both liberals and conservatives alike have made out like bandits on their 'short selling' feeding frenzy.

Keep in mind USA's King needs to fund another "trickle down" tax break for greedy corporations and the %2.
