Sony announces a permanent price cut for PSVR 2, undercutting the Meta Quest 3

Two years after its release, Sony has announced it is permanently slashing the price of the PSVR2 across all regions. The price cut should help the Japanese tech giant sell more units of the headset which has had poor sales since its launch in 2023.

Um u need cables to a pc or a ps5 to play on it. Meta at least is stand alone or can be blue toothed no wires needed to a pc. Hmm rather pay the extra for thise advantages only advantage sony has is picture quality.

Yet most people prefer a 500$ PlayStation over a 3-4,000$ pc that can "reasonably" run a psvr2 game especially with the psvr2 being the first public virtual reality experience with more than a 180 degree FOV, AS WELL as 8k resolution, eye tracking, field of view depth perception adaptation and popular game series included with the game as well as not having to BUY ALL THE GAMES YOU ALREADY OWN ON PS5.
