Apple's base iPad model won't see an update in 2024, as the company shifts its focus to other tablet models and the integration of "Apple Intelligence" across its devices. The current A14 Bionic chip in the base iPad lacks the processing power needed for Apple's privacy-first AI approach, necessitating a more robust chip in the next iteration.
