MINISFORUM continues to tease its first tablet. Now called the MINISFORUM V3 AMD Tablet, the 14-inch device will take on the Microsoft Surface Pro series with AMD Hawk Point APUs and a DisplayPort In connection, among other features.

This product looks very good, not to mention that it will make a fool of the Surface when we see the benchmarks, I think Microsoft hit a guy in the foot when it did not give the option to put AMD on the surfaces and totally imposed the 13gen from Intel that according to data they do not sell anything.
Now that the competition arrives we will see how everyone lowers the price to compete but the reality is a ZEN 4 + RDNA 3 + Artificial Intelligence, which the Intel 13 gen processor does not have.
I'm saving this product for my next purchase. I hope it doesn't run out because everyone was waiting for this.

We got it: you are going to buy each Ryzen 7x4x device! (We are waiting for your reviews!) ;)

Alex, have you seen any ideas why this is called V3?

I recall a certain very questionable company that produced a V and V2. With the name being V3, I'm fearful that there is a link to that company.

There is the possibility that the OEM is now working with Minisforum and they decided to keep V3 name.

Truly a tragedy that Microsoft didnt put AMD products on their Surface lines, it would be a thriving and lovely brand today if they didnt sip the Intel Koolaid.

I consider a Surface Go 4 but the AMD vs. Intel question does not bother me at all as there are notebooks with speed and long battery life for both kinds of CPUs so should also be possible in tablets. Instead, these aspects bother me:
- no reviews (other than hands-ons) thus far
- first indications of short battery life
- countless maintenance claims by Microsoft but no related specific information for manuals, prices or availability (so I have to assume that battery replacement costs roughly €250 as for another Surface product and therefore prohibits initial purchase)
- the again strongly mirroring display

I haven't come across any link between Minisforum and Dough/Eve.

Instead, I think it's a play on the tablet being a 2-in-1 with a DisplayPort input for use as an external monitor, thereby making it a 3-in-1 of sorts.
