The HERO9 Black is the latest and most advanced action camera launched by GoPro in 2020. The OEM now claims that its success has led to a number of paid subscriptions for the company that has now exceeded 500,000 in number. It also now estimates that this figure may grow to about 700,000 by the end of the year.

Ha!  Was unfair of them to hard sell huge amounts these into b&m retailers for a AU$699 RRP and then goto market direct day one at AU$559 with memory card and forced subscription.

Just echoing Retaylor's comment. Gopro's surprise move to offer discount pricing (including their discount on accessories) direct to customers is a disgusting move. In retrospect, it seems to be a follow-up to the company's announcement that they'd be shifting their business model to d-to-c, but of course, Gopro didn't mention that they'd still be allowing retail sales while making it next to impossible to sell them!

We've been selling Gopro for many years, and this is how we're repaid. We've solda minimal quantity of hero9, but and will probably stop selling the cameras altogether. We'll still sell the accessories, because our customers appreciate the convenience of being able to visit our shop and make their purchases, but it's my hope that eventually, Gopro will go bankrupt. Disgusting move by a disgusting company.

I've been trying for the last 3 days to purchase from the website.  I keep getting error processing my payment to try different payment method I have tried five different credit cards and two debit cards and none of them will go through.  I contacted the customer support and that was pointless, they told me that I need to contact my bank because it was a bank issue but all seven companies told me that there was not an attempt on the cards for payment from GoPro.  I guess I have to find another company to hand them my money.
