Due to a disagreement with a key hardware partner, the Smach Z handheld gaming PC is likely to run into further delays (if not cancellation).

The whole SmachZ project was a scam right from the beginning. The final hardware specifications was unrealistic given the size of the device and TDP of the Merlin Falcon chip (most probably the reason behind Rhomb.io;s comment). Zero updates on the progress of the final hardware (also updates were not public), while only the fake prototype (powered by an Intel chip, hacked from a Linx tablet) being shown to public to pry money from gullible backers. In short, the SmachZ team never had any final hardware to show after so many months. And after this fallout with Rhomb.io (a.k.a ImasD), now they claim to parther AMD directly to use a yet to be unreleased (non-existant) chip based on Ryzen and Vega which would delay the whole project right into 2018 and even much later. Time for class action against these scammers.

This is the internals of the Smach-Z "prototype" shown to public http://i.imgur.com/QgjF829.jpg That's definitely a Linx tablet mainboard and not a ClickARM mainboard as claimed by Smach-Z team on their Kickstarter page, which also meant that Intel Bay Trail chip is not interchangeable with the final AMD Merlin Falcon chip. This should be classified as fake prototype. And they are still showing the same fake prototype at the recent Mallorca Game 2017 convention last month. Thus up till June this year, the Smach-Z team seems to have shown lack of progress (more likely no progress at all) for final hardware.
