just one question: as your german is ... horrible: perhaps it would be easier to ask in english?

I think I understood your question, but I am not toally sure.

Hello, thank you for having responded to me.

Unfortunately I do not speak German nor English, I speak only Italian, now with google translate.

I am still looking for a smartphone with a great GPS, precise, and with a quick fix. Good battery life, and a CPU that does not heat. Which model do you recommend ?

SCARed

well, at least the google translate italian-english seems much better.  ;)

for your question: I don't think, that there are so many differences. if you don't have any other special wishes, you should eassily find a good smartphone for roughly 250-200€. look for something that also supports GLONASS and preferably a big battery.

something like this:

http://geizhals.de/sony-xperia-z3-weiss-a1161630.html?hloc=at&hloc=de

just a quixk suggestion. I would still suppose to go and ask a more mibile affine community like androidpit.

marck120

I thank you for the advice.

They now all smartphones support glonass, depending on the model of the smartphone the performace of GPS change.

Regarding the budget can be up to 300-350 euro.

I decided to ask for advice on this forum because the site notebookcheck is the only one that performs extensive testing on the various GPS smartphone. These are some examples:

http://www.notebookcheck.net/Sony-Xperia-Z3-Smartphone-Review.127641.0.html, http://www.notebookcheck.net/OnePlus-2-Smartphone-Review.149481.0.html, http: // www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Samsung-Galaxy-S5-Smartphone.116068.0.html

The tests I've seen, the Android smartphone with the best GPS was the OnePlus 2, but is overpriced. Sony Z3 you suggested did not go very well in comparison to other smartphones. I also thought the zuk z1 what do you think ? Unfortunately the site notebookcheck no testing on the GPS zuk z1.

well, in this video, the fix seems okay and 7-8 m accuracy is IMHO a normal value for GPS:

btw: why do you need such a precise GPS? the standard accuracy, which almost all mobile phones reach, is sufficient for the most cases.

and for the Oneplus One:

this seems to be a reasonable price.

Hello, thank you for your availability and for the advice.
The GPS is a question of my obsession, I wanted to use your smartphone as a navigation system for a car, so I want to focus on a smartphone with GPS more accurate and reliable as possible.

Not all GPS mounted on smartphones are equal, I speak just in hardware, I saw that some lose GPS signal, or have a weak signal, just a cloudy day and the GPS fix is lost.

Among OnePlus one and zuk z1, prefer the zuk, hardware is virtually identical but zuk is built with premium materials, finally zuk Z1 has a much bigger battery.

I decided to take the smartphone on amazon, I have 30 days to try it, if I see that I do not like I return.

These are the differences between him and the zuk OnePlus one:

http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?&idPhone2=7511&idPhone3=0&sSearch1=oneplus+one&idPhone1=6327

Regarding the GPS I had seen the movie you showed me, have you noticed how long it takes before the GPS satellite lock ? We hope it is not a defect of the smartphone.

I admit that I really like OnePlus 2, unfortunately is not shipped from Amazon with these smartphones in China is a problem with the service.

I also had another idea in mind, take a smartphone plus an external GPS like the Garmin Glo: https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/oem/sensors-and-boards/glo-/prod109827. html. That way I would have a GPS on top very precisely.

I do not know if the Garmin Glo is more accurate than a dedicated satellite navigation unit, otherwise I might take him zuk z1 and then combine it with a GPS like the Garmin 2597LM.

well, for car navigation, my phones never let me down, even with bad weather. I used a Razer i before the Samsung S3 i have nowadays and on all occasions, when I needed it, it worked like charm. Though I have to admit, that most of that were longer distances on the highway. But even in cities, I never had problems.

For the long GPS-fix: I am almost sure the used ONLY the GPS signal for the fix. but if you are not abroad, you surely have data connection active and can so use aGPS, where the phone also uses the cell of the mobile provider to get a rough localization- with this, my phones et a fix in 10 seconds, at maximum.

but good luck with your phone. as you haven't quoted a amazon link: which model did you choose? just out of curiousity ...

marck120

Thanks to the explanations and availability.

Yesterday I ordered the phone, I took him zuk z1, is this model: http://www.amazon.it/Lenovo-ZUK-Sbloccato-Smartphone-Capacitivo/dp/B016O88IUA/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1452948260&sr=8-6&keywords=zuk+z1

We hope to stay well, is very large as a phone, but the battery has a good autonomy. However Come the first thing I do is to try the GPS. I have 30 days to try it, if I do not like I return.
