I own an Omen, therefore my comments are not speculation, like many of the others.
I have had no scaling issues, with games or any program running odd resolutions.
I spent $10 and got an Matte Screen applied. Now I have a Matte screen with no glare, and 10-point touch and the tough protective glass. Bad cell pic, but you can clearly see the trees reflecting terrible where the glass isn't covered by the matte screen around the edges.

I am very happy with the laptop. It runs about 30 degrees cooler running games than my 2013 Envy does. People are critical about the "mid range" GTX 860m, I checked my benchmarks and it out scores my previous desktop ATI 5870, which is a old top end card. To get that much power down to ultra book laptop size is amazing.
It boots to windows in about 2 seconds, which when you see it is ridiculous. I am very happy with the machine.
The only issue so far, is the wireless AC card will not connect to my Netgear Nighthawk using the AC, when everything else in the house does.
I wanted something I could travel with for work and enjoy high quality gaming. Many reviews nit-pick as it isn't the best Ultra-book, and it isn't the most powerful Gaming Laptop. Those reviews miss the point. This laptop is about getting the most powerful machine in the smallest package, which for many users out there will be ideal. This laptop is about having your cake and eating it too.
