"Entry-level" is doing some heavy lifting there. The MX5 Pro sits around $4,990 now — real money, and it was repriced above the MX4 in July 2026. Compared to a Stark or a Komodo, sure, it's cheap. Compared to what most people picture when they hear "entry-level e-moto," it isn't.

What you actually get: a 72V/40Ah Samsung 50S pack (2,880 Wh), 5.5 kW nominal with 13.4 kW peak — about 45% up on the 60V models — and roughly 59 mph, plus moto-spec brakes, three ride modes including a "hyper" mode, four levels of regen, and a colour TFT display. That's a genuine jump over the MX4, not a sticker change — more power, bigger brakes, stronger forks, for not much more money.

The honest caveat is that the 72V field got crowded. Reviewers put the E Ride Pro SS and the Arctic Leopard right alongside it, and the Leopard's 20 kW direct-drive motor, bigger battery and 62 mph for sometimes only a few hundred more makes the value argument less lopsided than the headline suggests. The MX5 Pro's edge is dealer network and parts availability, not spec-sheet dominance.
