Unity games now run in Unreal Engine - but what does that actually mean?

Unity and Epic Games have demonstrated for the first time how a Unity game can run inside an Unreal Engine environment. While it may sound like little more than a technical curiosity, the technology could save developers a great deal of work – and make Fortnite an even bigger platform for games.

Screw Fortnite and Epic's deciding to intentionally block running it in Linux. (Linux compatible Easy AntiCheat exists, but they refuse to check the box at build time to enable it, basically since Valve is Epic's direct competitor and they figure that may hurt Steam Deck sales.)
