Apple reportedly testing RAM chips from US-blocked Chinese company

Apple has started testing DRAM chips made by China's CXMT for devices sold in China. CXMT was added to the Pentagon's 1260H list of companies linked to the Chinese military. Apple is still seeking US government clearance to use the chips. The move follows steep price hikes on Mac and iPad models tied to a global memory shortage.
