Publishers may drop PS5 discs by 2027, before PlayStation abandons physical games

Sony won't cease producing discs for new PS5 games until January 2028. Even so, some partners may be ready to go all-digital by 2027. The Lords of the Fallen 2 publisher believes the allure of higher profits will convince companies to desert physical games now.
