Positioned as an alternative to the Steam Machine, the Aoostar GODY is a compact gaming PC now available outside its domestic Chinese market. The system pairs a powerful AMD processor with a dedicated graphics card.

Come on guys, you can't claim a bare bones computer is price equivalent with the Steam Machine, not in this economy.
Yes it will be far better than the Steam Machine once you add RAM and Storage but that's gonna be around another $400

There you go

QuoteThis dedicated GPU offers a major advantage on paper: It comes with 16 GB of video memory, twice the amount of VRAM found in the Steam Machine.
16 GB VRAM (clamshell VRAM design)..there you go, already better than Steam Machine's only 8 GB VRAM and this one's GPU may also be upgradable. I think Hardware Unboxed on YouTube were the first to show that 8 GB VRAM wasn't enough on some titles and that has been like 4-5 years ago! Since then, only more and more games were and e.g. Dave2D complained about the only 8 GB VRAM on his Steam Machine review, too.

16 GB RAM RAM, like on the Steam Machine, costs approx. 200. So about the same price as a Steam Machine (1050 bucks), but this one has 16 GB VRAM. But this one needs an SSD as well. Unfortunately tho, both GPUs are RDNA 3 architecture, not RDNA4.

I pity the fools buying this without realizing it's barebones and you need to add RAM and storage - which is about as expensive as the starting kit nowadays.

What a deal.
