From the Garmin Fenix 8 Pro to the Venu 4 and the Forerunner 970 - more and more smartwatches from Garmin are only being offered with an AMOLED display, while models with MiP displays are disappearing despite some serious advantages. A survey shows that the majority of customers are not in favor of this development.

MIP is just better because you can actually use it as a watch rather than have to charge it every day. I only need 2 features, GPS and battery which is why I have a instinct solar

e-ink?

And what about e-ink? I'd be fine updating every minute or even less, but updating instantly to the second when pressing a button.

AMOLED is much more popular these days. Does MIP still have a place? Sure but it's twindling rapidly. I would no longer consider buying a MIP watch without how far AMOLED watch technology has come.

May want to brush up on your knowledge. Nobody needs to charge the Garmin AMOLED watches every day. They have incredible battery life. Now if you are talking about the Apple Watch yeah that's true but it's not a direct comparison and basically a smartphone watch.

Definitely Garmin needs to retain MIP or they'll just become another fashion device provider.
