Die japanische Regierung hat eine Subvention in Höhe von 60 Milliarden Yen für die Sony Group genehmigt, um deren inländische Bildsensor-Produktion auszuweiten. Diese Förderung wird eine neue, 180 Milliarden Yen teure Anlage in der Präfektur Kumamoto unterstützen.
