Many ISP-provided routers are closed black boxes with limited functionality. In part 3 of my "Unbloated Network" project, I show how to install OpenWRT on an x86 PC to replace the Vodafone router with your own hardware. Step by step, we'll set up the latest stable release, including image selection, Linux-based installation, and partition expansion.
