Lenovo has officially confirmed the next-generation Legion Y700, with promotional images showing the tablet's rear design in two color options and an RGB ring light. A leak has separately revealed the device's key specifications and launch month.

Well done

They had time to put a RGB ring light on the rear but still keep using an LCD panel instead of OLED?

That's genuinely impressive and disappointing at the same time. :/

I'm a Y700 tablet user.

The RGB lighting is just a gimmick; no one really cares about it, and we usually turn it off on our gaming phones anyway.

Since I'm using the Y700 Gen 4, I really wish you would focus on improving things that actually matter, such as:

Battery capacity
System UI, which currently has many bugs

The Gaming Center, which lacks important features like AI screen recording, similar to what RedMagic offers on their Chinese ROM devices and add more features 9n gaming center just see what RedMagic do.

Please also improve the English localization. Most of us buy the Chinese versions, and when we select English as the main language, we don't want to see any Chinese text at all including inside the Gaming Center app.

Another issue is that when I connect a telescopic controller through one USB-C port, I can't use the other USB-C port to connect my adapter for charging and headphones at the same time. This issue does not exist on the Redmi K Pad.

I'm fine with using an LCD panel because the resolution is high and it actually looks better than, for example, the RedMagic Astra OLED panel.

Any improvements to panel resolution, speaker quality, or battery life would be very welcome.

I also wish you would add meaningful gaming features, such as side triggers, cooling fan, eSim..etc or anything that truly adds gaming functionality.

Finally, please work directly with popular games like Garena Delta Force Mobile, PUBG Mobile, and others to ensure better optimization for your devices many users buy your products and then he found out these games performance is very poor and then end up ditching your devices to another ones

I'm curious if you'll be able to run steamos on this in the near future, allowing for pc gaming. With steam releasing the steam frame, which uses arm architecture, I would think it would be possible. That sure would make this device hella more appealing to a lot of people.

The steam frame has drivers only very specifically for SD8G3 w/ adreno 750. This tablet uses 8 Elite 5 w/ adreno 840. That's quite a bit different. Might be possible on the older y700 (gen 3) which uses exact same SoC.

That is, if Valve is even releasing it anymore. They kinda announced it, then ever since ram shortage started have gone quiet. Not sure if it's been cancelled or very delayed.
