I suggest reading up on how narcissists, sociopaths and psychopaths think and behave.

They have depressed or non-existent empathy, but the high functioning ones learn to behave as if they do.

They realise it gives them the edge because the person they're interacting with does have empathy and can be tricked into believing the narcissist, sociopath or psychopath has genuine feelings for them... when not only do they not - they're internally being very unemotional and calculating how to take advantage of the person.

That, in a nutshell, is genAI.
