I'm not holding my breath for the future of QC SDE(#) on Linux. QC really has little to gain by pushing for support; its marketshare in Windows is pitiful enough as is. They really needed to REDUCE PRICES SIGNIFICANTLY if they want to have a shred of a dream of establishing any meaningful presence in home computers.

If they had any brains they would have made it easy for linux. Developers can pay a premium price for good performance. And then developers will build software for the platform. And most of the money usually isn't even in consumer pcs but in servers. So getting developers to build for your platform can gain access to the server market.
