I'm running Unifi Server in Docker container for around 6-7 years.
What's new, they made it official?

This will let you self host more than just the Network management OS, including Unifi Protect, Access, Talk, and connect.

This is just all the parts of Unifi Network that currently you need Unifi's cloud account for, eg site magic VPN, single sign on etc.

If you only have one site it doesn't add anything. It's really strictly for companies that absolutely don't want even the free cloud stuff Ubiquiti has as a dependency.
