New research finds that stark disparities in colorectal cancer outcomes are driven almost entirely by social and economic factors, not biology, and outlines a clear, two-part strategy to address the issue.

Yikes cissy!

Please, educate me on why the f*** this shite is on this site? It has NOTHING fucking to do with tech beyond some DEI shite.

Get help. Do better. Be an example of a good journalist and not a fucking Alt Left propaganda machine,

alt left doesn't exist genius and DEI? lol you became so triggered you had to utter bs racist nonsense because research and data founded an unsettling pattern with Black americans and colorectal cancer. if the correlation was with kids, older age groups, urban/rural, or sex/gender, would you still have such a visceral reaction? doubt it. pointing these things out but with a race correlation is no different.

@fellforitagain:

The first guy may have been triggered and used some bad words, but he isn't wrong in the following:

What does such an article do on a notebook-tablet-smartphone website? It has nothing to do with it. Absolutely nothing. I also noticed this perversion for many months now. In the past I could somehow make a stretch to similar topics (such as lawn mowers, e-bikes), but with articles like above that stretch isn't even possible anymore. It just offtopic. Completely. It doesn't belong here (that is until notebookscheck adds a new giant header for "medicine, environment", which would theoretically make articles like that legit again).

Legit thought this is a usual spam for this forum so I opened it only to report spam just to see that Notebookcheck is spamming now. Neat. What is your next article going to be about; prices of dog food maybe?

It's sad to see that this once amazing site is falling apart apparently, but it is what it is...

Please add direct links to categories on this site. You used to provide the best, by far, thorough and consistent notebook reviews, but it keeps expanding into areas other sites are better suited to serve. If you want more engagement, consider collaborative editing with a database, no one (aside from wikimedia) is doing that properly and is an approach that can be applied to any topic.

Yeah, this is a good approach/suggestion. Currently this crap makes zero sense at all because we are literally getting spammed left and right by almost nothing but major offtopic, and we have no other choice but to either see/read it or ignore the whole site altogether.

When I visit formula1.com I expect to see news related to, well, Formula 1; I don't expect to see news about gardening, agriculture and prices about rooftops in Malaysia. Why is that so difficult to graps for the authors here, it's beyond me...

Just as a reminder:

QuoteAbout Notebookcheck

Notebookcheck is an independent portal for notebook / laptop, tablet and smartphone information since the beginning of 2005.

Topics and Goals

  • From netbooks to desktop replacements, from consumer and entry-level laptops to tablets and professional business laptops
  • Serious, journalistic, substantiated and - above all - independent reporting
  • Our technicians analyze current-generation computer systems with the help of various tools and equipment and rely on their experience of many years. As a result, our reviews are very detailed.
  • Our test division adheres to the principle that our laptop reviews should stick out from the masses by providing as much competent and detailed technical information as possible, illustrated with professional pictures.
  • The experienced user, IT professionals, and enthusiasts will find detailed technical descriptions, analysis, guides, comparisons, and technical backgrounds of components used in laptops. Our standard information even includes comparisons of graphics cards and processors.
  • Services common to all articles: a laptop library provides information about other reviews from other magazines and how these rate laptops. In our laptop database we collect thousands of reviews a year worldwide in several languages, published online as well as print media.
  • Purchase Consultation: a purchase consultations GUI guides the user through the plethora of offered laptops. It is in particular of great help for those who are technically inexperienced. An above-average number of filter criteria allows you to search for matching laptops in our database, which covers thousands of launched laptops and many thousand reviews.
  • Community: A constantly used forum allows readers to comment, ask questions, post experiences and is linked to the articles.

Just noticed this and it is quite amusing. First of all, nothing against the author, no disrespect, no any negative feelings, they do their job (which is COMPLETELY offtopic for this site, but still), yet their bio says the following:

QuoteI have always been fascinated by technology and digital devices my entire life and even got addicted to it. I have always marveled at the intricacy of even the simplest digital devices and systems around us. I have been writing and publishing articles online for about 6 years now, just about a year ago, I found myself lost in the marvel of smartphones and laptops we have in our hands every day. I developed a passion for learning about new devices and technologies that come with them and at some point, I asked myself, "Why not get into writing tech articles?" It is useless to say I followed up the idea — it is evident. I am an open-minded individual who derives an infinite amount of joy from researching and discovering new information, I believe there is so much to learn and such a short life to live, so I put my time to good use — learning new things. I am a 'bookworm' of the internet and digital devices. When I am not writing, you will find me on my devices still, I do explore and admire the beauty of nature and creatures. I am a fast learner and quickly adapt to changes, always looking forward to new adventures.

This whole article in the OP, aside of it being a non-tech article, is literally, and I mean it literally to the letter, a literal polar opposite of what the bio says, let alone what Notebookcheck as a site is. Again - amusing. Time to stop visiting anything else but "Reviews", I guess...

My only statement is, writers like David Odejide will censor, ALL, respectful on-topic, comments that he writes about relating to energy, ect. (another displaced bunch of articles from activists, ect. on here) that he's all into his feelings about. I mean... seriously, he censor baby stuff... what's the point of an article if your mind is not mature enough to receive opinions, in favour or not, of the article(s)?!

I mean... I guess some of these writers here cannot get employed at CNN, BBC, ect, huh?

What I do is, before I click on any article here, I quickly see who posted it. If it is attached to any of the well-known activists here, that article will not receive any revenue/money from any of my clicks/views.

Cameheretosaythis

Came here to say what the comments are flooded with -
How the hell is this notebookcheck or even technology related...

nothing wrong with removing dangerous conspiracy theories from the public that can lead to violence or property destruction (which has happened before from crazy types). when people complain about "activist journalism" I immediately know their exact stance on renewable energy and how they vote in elections. You people try so hard to dance around your political affinity on things but use such boilerplate, nearly verbatim, npc-level phrases that everyone else knows exactly what you believe the moment you open your mouths. you truly aren't fooling anyone.

It seems that you have missed that part (intentionally, clearly... 😏) when I stated... "David Odejide censor baby stuff" - so, what are you even talking about?! If it's "baby stuff" aka G-rated viewership/converse opinions/responses... why even speak of violence and/or any other polarizing... ideology, eh?! Oh... that's, right, you need something... anything... to fit your... uhm... message, right?! 😏
