The world's first 9,000mAh silicon-carbon (SiC) battery for smartphones is tipped to hit the market by 2027, according to a new leak. The flagship devices to be based on such technology might adopt the same stainless steel shielding currently seen in the iPhone 16 Pro Max. In the meantime, Android OEMs are thought to smash through the current 8,000mAh limit without delay.
