Nobody Important

I'm reminded of the etymology of the word, "computer".  Back in the day, before electronic computers, we had human computers that would compute the math needed for what ever project they were hired to do math for.  Obviously the world is better off, otherwise we would still be employing human calculators, instead every human can do their job now.

The only reason people are raising a stink over people being replaced by electronic calculators, is because of the sycophant culture that drives the advertising space being sold as mainstream tech media.  The entertainment giants have become complacent, and the rest of us shouldn't suffer because all the wealthy executives and their marketing firms decided mediocrity is the new standard of excellence.  If Nintendo is hurt by AI, then Nintendo was probably being artificially supported by the Japanese and US governments and their legal systems.

Why should I fiscally reward the billionaire CEO of EA or Disney for laying off workers and cancelling projects, when these new tools can give the laid off workers the ability to compete with giants?
