In collaboration with the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT), researchers from MIT and UMass Amherst have successfully demonstrated that cold spray 3D printing can be used to repair corroded bridge beams directly on-site. This innovative method offers a faster, less disruptive, and more cost-effective solution for restoring aging infrastructure across the United States.
