After the Tariffs what the Orange Clown imposed, I would not release new products there.
Wow...the so-called "Orange Clown" has really got into your head, hasn't he? lol
So many things wrong with your comments, it's hard to know where to start.
1) Sony has a history of not releasing their phones in the US. The prior Xperia 1 VI, which was released when that senile, hair-sniffing, son-pardoning, old man was still president, did not come to the US either.
2) The tariffs you're complaining about are on pause for 90 days while Japan works out a new trade deal with the US.
3) Sony continues to sell plenty of other items, such as cameras, TV's, and video games systems, in the US despite the current trade situation, so the link you are suggesting doesn't exist.
4) Are you aware of how many artificial trade barriers, on top of tariffs, that Japan uses to prevent US automakers from selling their cars there? Lengthy import inspections and paperwork process, restrictive distribution systems, tax breaks for Japanese domestic cars etc. And Japan is not unique in this.
The president is attempting to tear down trade artificial trade barriers and encourage more free markets, which would be good for everyone. So the current strategy is designed to incentivize countries to stop imposing artificial barriers to trade. Did you ever complain online about all those unfair practices that target the US?
