The automotive market, long considered a traditional and slow-moving industry, may be on the brink of transformation. Amazon Autos, the e-commerce giant's new platform for buying new cars, aims to bring the ease and convenience of online shopping to car purchases. The service is already live in the U.S.

this ie extremely bad news for customers, as the amazon cancer grows in all directions. Yes, it's very convenient to have 'everything under your roof', from your shiny-shiny to mortgage and life insurance (not yet, but we're getting there). But there's a price to pay for this convenience and amazon is no longer cheap, or cheap-er. Other than tons of Chinese garbage (which is still significantly overpriced in comparison with identical garbage on aliexpress)

LOL! This is a GOOD THING!!!

There are a handful of industries that continue to use deceptive sales tactics, the automotive industry is but one of them.

However in classic form, giving up the 'brick and mortar' for online cuts the 'sales staff' and 'show rooms' and/or any budget for local advertising. :)

While the FTC, DOJ & AG continue to steer clear of the industries almost countless 'hidden fees' that only come to light at the end of the 'sales process' of traditional auto sales outlets (IE: Dealers), maybe Amazon or someone else can finally bring honest pricing to the industry?
