Tesla now beats those usual vehicle price depreciation champions that hail from Italy - Maserati and Alfa Romeo - in a rather unfortunate ranking of the value its used cars lost over the span of a year.

Not nearly as bad as BYD, where BYD vehicles experienced over 12400 fires in China in 2023, with 1300 of them being in their EV only models (Autocar, UK 2024). Granted, most are accident fires, but still beats out any manufacturer, including Tesla, by several orders of magnitude.
Perhaps we can all recall as we read in horror about the California man who drove his family down that cliff in 2021 in his Tesla Model 3. They dropped over 200 ft and damaged the car beyond recognition, and the family? They walked away from it with only minor injuries. We just don't hear about success stories like these from BYD. Instead, we read about shoddy workmanship, cheap interior trim pieces, body electronics that fail after a couple months, and paint that fades at the time the lease expires. That's BYDs story: delivering an unparalleled and unprecedented level of cheapness and junkiness never before seen since the introduction of the Yugo sedan in 1984.
You know what they say -- you get what you pay for...

I mean who in the right mind would want a bomb on wheels, miss less an older used model. Their repair costs are sky high and their workmanship is crap. I could have picked up a used model month ago but I went with a old Ford Fiesta instead. Good milage, cheaper to fix, and I don't have to worry about it randomly exploding on me.

You sure have a death wish, Ford Fiesta is known to be over 5x more likely to explode than even the most dangerous EV. Highly prone to randomly exploding

Let me get this straight...putting people in jail for "stealing" cars they paid for was perfectly fine with Hertz, but losing a little money is over the line?  Hertz stinks like a pile of wet garbage covered in burned tires.

Hertz is one dishonest rental company as well as Enterprise... Big time scammers and i hope people wake up and stop renting fr them!
