It works crudely (because the data in the EDID is crude) but it works and gives amazing results with one switch for the average person. This means it is extremely useful for owners of cheap 45-46% NTSC screens and for owners of wide gamut screens. And I have both.

On my new G16 CrystalDiskMark gives me 242MB/s read and 183MB/s write with my UHS-II SD card (about what the card is rated at). I don't know what was up with the review copy, but just a heads up for anyone concerned that the built in card reader is working great for me.

Great article, as for the G16, great display, good battery, but the soldered RAM and with 16GB only, on top of that? Asus dropped the ball on this one, putting in a castrated RTX 4070, I get better gaming performance, with my G14 with an RX 6800S and with my Stealth 14 with an RTX 4060, I won't even talk about my GP66 with a RTX 3070 Ti here, to not humiliate the G16 further, just pathetic! Well this is a pass for me, devolution of the G16, not evolution, I use to think Asus had high standards, I see now it's just a show and cash grab only!
