Intel might be preparing to launch a low-end Arc Battlemage in H2 2024 as the top die could have been canceled according to the latest report from Moore's Law Is Dead. Additionally, the leaker has also divulged some details about the possibly doomed Arc Alchemist refresh as well as some details covering the 2026 Arc Celestial.

Meh, didn't Moore's Law is Dead say that Celestial got completely cancelled half a year ago or so?

I don't ever recall that. I do recall him saying Alchemist for desktop was going to be cancelled though.

With Raja gone and Intel in huge financial trouble, I predicted gpu division would be slashed and Battlemage and Celestial scaled way back and they will mainly focus on the Xe2 and Xe3 for iGPU's in Luna Lake and Panther Lake.

He stated with supreme confidence that Intel was scrapping its entire graphics division and bowing out of the business.

I used to work at a fairly high level at intel. Nobody is talking to this guy. He's just making things up as he goes along.

I figured nobody would listen to him after that, but here we are.

Yeah I didn't say either of those things.  Maybe watch the video linked in this article before you comment about things I didn't say...

I mean come on lol - A380 was already out when I announced the bad news last year (which has turned out true btw).  I couldn't have meant alchemist wasn't launching after it already launched...

Pointless

These articles are so pointless, just like Moore's Law is Dead's channel is so pointless. He put out a video 6 months ago stating with extreme confidence that Arc gaming gpus were canceled. Now that time has proven it to be BS, he is making up a different story as if he was only slightly wrong then. I don't understand why someone would report on made up speculation.

I can do the same thing too: Nvidia to release high end professional laptops using Grace CPU running a brand new Nvidia Omniverse OS, to eat AMD and Apple's lunch. Wow look at me, please support me on Patreon, fellow [insert brand] fanbois! Clap*

Lets look at Team Blues history for a moment shall we?

For decades they avoided the GPU space as according to them 'there was no profit in it'. When you consider the percentage of PC users that want GPU's for "gaming" it really IS a small percentage of CPU's shipped.

However when you take into consideration that Nvidia and even AMD GPU's are being used for AI and Team Blue had nothing but their Xeon chips to offer - Raj was hired.

The idea that Raj headed up a 'display division' is kind of silly as the whole intention from the get go is to create a 'Nvidia killing' AI engine. The desktop GPU thing is just an after thought since the parts are/were not killing ANYTHING.

Then of course we have to consider that both the Red and Green teams have been doing this for DECADES while team Blue was ignoring those markets and arrogantly figured/calculated that they could displace the front runners in these markets by just entering the markets and trying. LOL!!!

Note that team Blue also could have had their chips in Xboxes, playstations, phones and non-MS tablets (and other gaming systems) but at some point they also decided there was no money in those markets for them. :)

While Meta may never recoup the BILLIONS they have invested in VR at least their VR products don't suck all that bad. :)
