Nvidia and AMD may turn to TFLOPs wars with their upcoming AD102 and Navi 31 GPUs later this year. New leaks suggest that the Nvidia Lovelace AD102 RTX 4090 (?) GPU could very well hit the 100 FLOPs FP32 performance mark with a 2.7 GHz or higher boost clock. AMD is not expected to be far behind with leaks suggesting a 90 TFLOPs number for the Navi 31 RX 7900 XT.

Great news. However, as an illustrator, i am expect that amd, nvdia, intel or even apple support inkscape and gimp so the softwares can utilizes their gpu's or those manufacturers develop vector software that compatible with svg.

I always find weird when companies flex "X times faster than consoles"

Like if absolute power was the reason people buy consoles. You Will have to pay 3000€ gpu only and end up missing out on generation defining titles plus awful Ports like Elden Ring full of frame pacing issues even with a 3080ti

maybe will be 2X faster than previous generation  but this comparison is based on what? they even doubled their power consumption!
Only xx50 series that are available for all pockets can show true benchmarks and their advantages respect previous generation,like RTX 3050 192bit (that is on par RTX 2070) unfortunately consume like an old GTX 1080 around 180-200W TDP and this is crazy!

No thanks old tower concept is dying and must go in this direction, time for miniPCs and SBC

hope that PiV or others companies based on ARM starts to introduce eGPU based on Mali G78MP24&G710MP10
