George Soros bets big on Rivian by investing US$2 billion in the electric truck maker

An investment vehicle of the billionaire George Soros has staked US$2 billion in Rivian Automotive, the maker of the R1T electric pickup truck and the R1S midsize electric SUV. The R1T production delays, however, have sent Rivian's share price down 43% in 2022 alone, and the Soros Fund Management stake is now worth just $1.17 billion.
