At MWC, Lenovo is introducing the second generation of its ThinkPad Z series. ThinkPad Z13 Gen 2 and Z16 Gen 2 both look a lot like their predecessors, but they receive a new haptic trackpad made by Sensel. This marks the first time that Sensel provides their complete technology stack for a laptop trackpad.

Always 1 step forward and 2 steps back... They're trying to make us go crazy. No fkn mouse buttons?! These people don't use computers professionally.

It's not necessarily bad; if they do it as close as possible to Apple and their MacBooks then hell yeah, it will be great. But if not - meh, buttons all the way.

Today, I touched a Zbook. HP instead of Lenovo but otherwise the same story: keyboard "quality" sucks even in the most expensive series.

Why is why I'll stick to my X1 Carbon G6 as long as possible, ideally - the keyboard is absolutely phenomenal 🥰 And the laptop itself is still very fast for everything I need (heavy print design in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, some Premiere Pro, After Effects, Blender and CSGO, those four latter with 3060 via TB3).

It is bad, I use Apple macbooks for developing stuff for ios and the trackpad is a nightmare that I wouldn't even wish on my worst enemy(like all of these buttonless trackpads). I prefer buttons
