The new Gemini 001 battery pack prototype by Our Next Energy (ONE) propelled the Tesla Model S for 14 hours straight around Michigan in the cold mid-December temps. ONE managed to double the battery density of Tesla's stock 103.9 kilowatt-hours battery by using innovative packaging technology and proprietary chemistry. ONE's high-density battery pack beat the world record for a Model S range by covering 752 miles on winter highways, and 882 miles on a dynamometer in the lab.

Two thoughts/questions:

1) What fire/explosion risk is there due to the higher density and/or different chemistry?

2) Will/when this battery tech find its way to mobile devices? Getting sick of a "portable" laptop that can't last half a day unplugged.

More importantly where's wagon/kombi version?
If your "eco" cars target only wealthy single businessman instead of families, than what can you really change about environment.
