Title: Intel Core i7-10510U 'Comet Lake-U' beats AMD Ryzen 7 3750H in Geekbench, signals impending arrival of the XPS 13 7390

A new Geekbench score of the 10th gen Intel 'Comet Lake-U' Core i7-10510U has surfaced online. While the new score is definitely higher than what an AMD Ryzen 7 3750H can achieve, it still is on par with the previous gen Whiskey Lake scores. The Core i7-10510U was benchmarked on a Dell XPS 13 7390 indicating that XPS 13s with Comet Lake-U parts could be arriving soon.

Pretty stupid compairrisent, considering the Ryzen 3750h is on a 12nm node.when amd releases the new ones on 7nm node in the fall, then we will see, apples to apples.

By the time AMD launches 7nm Raven Ridge, Intel will still be on 10nm so the process comparison doesn't really make sense anyways. This should be seen as a 15W vs 35W comparison.

Intel's Comet Lake-U is still on 14nm. As for AMD's upcoming 7nm APUs, rumors point to another Raven Ridge refresh (AMD's Picasso was Raven Ridge refresh on 12nm).

Rizen 3000 mobile part is the old Zen+ architecture, not Zen 2 like the desktop part. Comet Lake performing better than Zen+ is nothing to shout about.

What's more important is sustained load performance.  Faster CPU performance could end  up being slower than older generation CPU's if the notebook cooling system is worse.  Just look at the Thinkpads and see how the current generation is much slower compared last year.

Ice Lake is already shipping though, laptops coming forth quarter.
AMD mobile 7nm, coming end of this year, laptops second quarter next year.

Expectedly. 18% IPC improvement, offset by an 18% clock speed reduction compared to 14nm+++. It'll probably maintain those boosts for longer though, which won't show up in a too-simple benchmark like Geekbench.
