Title: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 looks to beat the Intel Core i9-9900K in Geekbench, but it is not really a level playing field

A Geekbench listing of the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor has surfaced online and from the looks of it, it appears to have very good single-core performance, much more than the Intel Core i9-9900K. However, the Ryzen 5 3600 benchmark was run under Linux, which generally tends to show higher scores than a Windows run so the scores aren't exactly comparable.

Just enter .gb4 at the end of the Geekbench URL. It shows that the CPU was running at 4.4 GHz which indicates a 200 MHz overclock.

That is not the fastest i9-9900K score on GB4
Lots of faster ones around.

Ryzen 2 processors have XFR boost of 200MHz, so it's not really overclock as it boosts to 4.4 GHz out of the box.

Technically, it is still an overclock as it is running above its rated boost clock. However, I do agree that it seems to be due to XFR rather than a manual overclock.

XFR is available on non-X parts as well, but it is somewhat limited compared to what an X CPU would allow for.

Of course. Scores vary by test conditions. This is just to show that the new CPUs are quite capable.
