Huawei has issued a statement in response to the devastating news that it has lost its Google Android license. The besieged Chinese telecoms and consumer electronics giant has promised to continue to provide security updates and service support to its users while highlighting the contribution it has made to the development and expansion of Google's Android platform across the globe.

Who would of known that Trump was pro-competition.

Now people that have Huawei phones (millions around the world) will start looking for Google Play alternatives, like GetJar and F-Droid... and maybe even alternative Android firmwares like LineageOS.

The surveillance state can use all of that Huawei equipment to keep an oppressive lid on China.

For all the things that China bans, including most recently Wikipedia, I would say this is long overdue.
