Title: The downfall of the Superbook, the US$99 laptop shell that may never reach all its backers
Post by: Redaktion on May 02, 2019, 12:10:33
The company behind the crowdfunded laptop shell still has its order page live, despite admitting privately to backers that it has run out of money with potentially thousands of orders still unfulfilled.

the sentio superbook is the worst product i've ever experienced.

delivery issues include software and more importantly support.

the product is full of bugs and issues affecting a wide range of devices and even if you get it right it's buggy as all get out.

this is a complete FAIL.

You can make your own device from a Pi-Top V2 or buy one ready made.

While more expensive than the SuperBook, at least it's available.......

Check out the Pi-Top forum for more details - just search for PI-Top and DeX in google and you'll find it.

Though this will be of little colsolation to those waiting for their Superbooks, a new product has just been released which enables smartphones with displayport over USB-C and a suitable desktop environment (Samsung DeX, Huawei/Honor Easy Projection or Android Q Desktop) into a 2-in-1 type device.

This is a touchscreen solution as well as a 1080P light and compact 15.6″ display with integral battery – supplied in a kit with protective case/stand and Bluetooth keyboard with trackpad.
