This thing is like from the 90s compared to iPad Pro.
Why would anyone buy a tablet with 3cm bezels?

Large bezels make it easier to draw on.  It gives you somewhere to put your hand when you're drawing near the edge.  It's a feature for the target audience.

Great article and very informative. These kind of tools are very helpful for artists, designers, and digital illustrators. Me and my girlfriend are saving for something like this. I just made a similar hunt bt with a XP-PEN Artist 13.3 Pro drawing  display 13.3inch.
