In a new blog post, Nvidia has highlighted that players of battle royale games like Fortnite, PUBG, and Apex Legends can improve their kill-death ratio by a considerable percentage by utilizing a graphics card from the RTX 20 series, especially the GeForce RTX 2070, RTX 2080, and RTX 2080 Ti.

What this doesn't take into account is the fact that gamers who have bothered purchasing high end video cards as well as high refresh rate monitors are a lot less 'casual' in their play than someone with lower GPUs and monitors. Almost by definition a person with high end gear tailored to high fps gaming is gonna be playing more of the game than other people, so that increased playtime & attitude will also show as a more skilled player. It's not like buying an RTX GPU magically makes you better - it's like saying increased ice cream consumption causes Summer!
So what about Battlefield V gamers with Ray Tracing on? Their frame rates will plummet so their K/D ratio will suck. The marketing is kind of disjointed.
Just buy a 1080 Ti and save the rest for the next generation rather than spending it on the RTX series.
