Title: Nintendo Switch continues Nintendo's bad history with video streaming
Post by: Redaktion on November 10, 2018, 16:18:05
The Nintendo Switch finally got a YouTube app yesterday, bringing the world's most popular video streaming service to the console. However, Netflix and Amazon are still absent. The lack of video streaming services on the console is becoming a sticking point for some, especially considering that the Nintendo Wii, which is 12 years old, offers Netflix, Hulu, Amazon video, and YouTube.

I work for Hulu. We have since deprecated all Wii devices at the end of 2017. Any working apps no longer have support and if removed cannot be re-downloaded

Are yall stupid? It's the service providers who make the app for Nintendo's hardware. Nintendo doesn't make the software, nor can they use it whenever they feel like it. The service providers are in charge of that before Nintendo can accept it and provide it for their customers. After that process is completed, Nintendo makes the plans for release and give it to us when it's ready and stable. Being a dev for their company helps in knowing this info.
