Title: Expect systems powered by Intel 10nm chips in shelves by holiday 2019
Post by: Redaktion on July 27, 2018, 16:36:28
Systems powered by Intel 10nm CPUs might hit shelves just in time for the holiday season in 2019. The 10nm part will first be made available to client systems followed by datacenter products. However, Intel feels that 14nm will continue to play a significant role next year as well.

Holiday 2019? Wow, that's only a little under four years late! How impressive!

Yeah, I have my fingers crossed :) Very happy with my 1600X, but hopefully (not necessarily for me, but for the PC market in general) 7nm will bring 500MHz+ clock gains at less power penalty than earlier, and a decent IPC boost as well.
