GPU prices have been inflated for the best part of the last twelve months thanks to the cryptocurrency mining boom. With the profitability of the practice declining in recent months, so too have the prices of GPUs started to come down as well.

It's an improvement, but I bought an RX480 for $130 on a deal so it feels like current deal prices are closer to old MSRP prices. Definitely progress of course.

Though I am more concerned with ram prices than GPU prices at this point...

I wouldn't recommend buying the 4GB version. People should definitely go for the 8GB version, which currently costs $259.99: amzn.to/2unxwpN
