New engine, same body. MSI brings Coffee Lake to their entry-level GV62 line. While the new Intel CPU is a breath of fresh air, it is the only real change to the machine since last year. Buggy system behavior and a cheap plastic case keep the GV62 8RE from being little more than white noise.

I would like to know about this forum for better development or dissemination of information for the benefit.
In this laptop is literally bad of everything.
1. Cheap and dull IPS with <60% sRGB. You can not even look at the pictures from the smartphone! It's a disgrace to 2018! For smartphones for $ 98% sRGB, and here <60% !! Bright and with a normal color space IPS costs only +$30-40 more expensive in retail!
2. HDMI 2.0, not 2.0a. So the movie from the UHD Remux with HDR (support only in 2.0a) you can not see with such a laptop on a 4k TV or projector.
2. There is no one usb 3.0 slot on the right, but the one that is located in the most idiotic place where the hand with the mouse is located.
3. i5 8300 has bad indexes about 15-20% lower than it should show in a typical case. All indices should be higher than the i7 7700HQ by about 8-10%.
4. The head out and mic in connectors are not interchangeable. A shame. In laptops 10 years ago from MSI, there were 3 audio connectors and they were all interchangeable.
5. Again the bad location of the battery between the hot heat pipes. It is guaranteed to die after 1 year of intensive exploitation under the games.
6. Noise at rest and under medium load is terrible. How did they manage to make such a shameful decision with so many heat pipes? Any modern laptop in surfing should be silent.
