Title: Apple Park's glass walls and doors are hazardous for workers
Post by: Redaktion on February 16, 2018, 20:43:39
Apple Park may look like a futuristic marvel but apparently it has been causing a number of painful incidents for workers due to its abundance of glass features. It seems distracted Apple employees are walking straight into the surrounding glass panels.

Maybe they sould put gravel around the whole building and when the workers are going to close to the glass they will step on gravel and be careful?  :-\

This is something that can`t happen here in Europe. We have a legislative that doesnt allow such big glass unmarked areas in buildings. It must have some highly contrast visible markings at eye level. Without it building can`t get a approval for use and cannot be opened.
It is primary for visually impaired people, but I myself crashed into glass doors/panels many times before these regulatories were in charge.

Anyway, this is an perfect example of desing taking over usability.... Very bad trend in recent years is getting worse.
