Where have all the new gaming notebooks gone? We asked as many major manufacturers as we could and everyone gave the same response.

EVGA is not Taiwanese, as far as I know, but it doesn't really matter since EVGA doesn't actually manufacture anything.

The lack of Volta/Ampere at CES was disappointing as well. Looks like nVidia is going to milk Pascal for a 3rd year. So much for their 2 year refresh cycle..

The lack of Coffeelake-H was similarly disappointing. Though hopefully Intel is delaying its release in order to remove the Sceptre/Meltdown bug from it (if possible). If they can't remove the bug, they might as well accelerate Whiskeylake's release. Kind of ridiculous if they're planning on releasing brand new yet-still-flawed CPUs in 2018..
