A Microsoft exec has clarified that Windows 10 on ARM will not be coming to any existing Windows phones, as the OS is designed for a "desktop experience" rather than a phone one.

New device from microsoft.... may as well not be in phone format. Maybe its ar glasses? 5G need a reason, microsoft need a mobile device standing out connect to everything... Also either great number of futuristic apps made by friendly developers going all happy to do something for them, or AI equivalent, that can do the same. And not just for work, but also fun and socializing and cheap. No way they can do that the way its going. AR world is near, point is who goes first.
