Title: Asus VivoBook S15 S510UA (i5-7200U, FHD) Laptop Review
Post by: Redaktion on June 11, 2017, 09:07:07
Super sleek for cheap. Imagine the XPS 15 9560 stripped down to ULV configuration levels at half the starting price and you get the new VivoBook S15 S510 series. While this sounds good on paper, chassis quality leaves a lot to be desired.

Waiting for this review too. I want to know which panels installed in configurations with FHD and QHD displays. (Maybe I can replace TN FHD to my lovely LTN156HL01..  :) )

Im using this notebook now and my findings is the whole notebook is lagging. When I first purchase my notebook and start up, the whole notebook is so lagging. HDD 100% activity which i didnt even install anything or do anything. Memory usage already gone 60% without running any application. Wifi connectivity doesnt seems to be fast. Battery life after using for 2 months, the battery doesnt seems to last more than 2 hours. Overall operation and usage, 60% most of the time it HANGS... would i recommend this notebook? Hell no...

@Alan:
Get an SSD, reinstall your OS and disable any unnecessary background operations.

Hi, thanks for the review but I think it's a little incomplete, what about the webcam quality? Is possible to show any image to evaluate that?

Concerning to internal storage bay in the form of M.2.
NVMe is not supported.   :(
Well, some motherboards needs NVMe support in the BIOS, and a new Bios version upgrade would solve the problem! Is that the case or there are other issues hindering the upgrade towards NVMe?
Anyone has some info about installing NVMe in this laptop?
