Title: Ryzen 5 1400 and 1600 Review
Post by: Redaktion on June 05, 2017, 23:17:42
AMD now takes on the mainstream segment with the Ryzen 5 1400 and Ryzen 5 1600. The hexa-core in particular performs well in our review, but the Ryzen 1400 is a bit on the fence – which is primarily a result of AMD's in-house competition.

the Ryzen 7 1700 are the best value of money. of course if looking for only i7 performance , it's will be Ryzen 5 1600. Ryzen 5 1400 shouldn't be recommended due to the price vs i3 or i5. the buyer within i3 to i5 range , wouldn't consider go for 1400. the price for 1400 should be set around i3 + only , only make people feel AMD really come back.
meanwhile 1600 or 1700 , the price actually not that far from currently i7 . i doubt buyer will trust the benchmark more than brand name which Intel well build on it for so many years.

With careful selection of ddr4 3000 Ram and a good aftermarket cooler like the noctua u14s I think a ryzen 1400 can go to 3.8 or 3.9 gigahertz. This makes it competitive with a non overclocked i7 7700. It also makes it an excellent value in a CPU. You are wrong to say that it is not a good deal it is a great deal
